ALSO LAID IN IS A PLAYBILL THAT HAS BEEN INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY LENA HORNE AND RICARDO MONTALBAN. 20pg. original souvenir program and playbill from the 1958 musical that starred the great Lena Horne and Ricardo Montalban. Laid in the program is an original photograph from the musical. The show had a very decent run of 555 performances and was nominated for 7 Tony Awards. Corner crease and light wear to the program. Vg. Also included is 20pgs. large souvenir program for "Lena Horne: The Lady And Her Music" THAT HAS BEEN SIGNED IN SILVER INK BY MS. HORNE on the front cover. Ms. Horne did this one woman concert for 333 performances and won many awards including a special Tony. The program is from later in the run and has wear, some creasing to the covers which is mirrored throughout. Sold as a collection only.

Vol. a 2nd printing and has been signed by Johnson in 1936. Bookplate on pastedown. The 2nd vol. is a first printing and was also inscribed and signed by Johnson in 1936 and also has a bookplate on the pastedown. Johnson was an important figure in the Harlem Renaissance and was also a lyricist, poet, teacher, lawyer and was also an influential Civl Rights activist. Postcard of a stamp honoring Johnson laid in. Lacking the dustjackets. Very minute wear tot he edges of the covers and light soiling to the top edges, otherwise these are nice clean copies and uncommon to find them inscribed. Sold as a collection only.

Baraka has faced much controversary in recent years including serious charges of anti-Semitism. Some very minor soiling to the back panel of the white dustjacket. Fine/fine. Also included is a first paper edition of "Preface To A Twenty Volume Suicide Note. Published in 1961. This is a small paper with all the correct points, $1.25 price on cover and the list of Corinth book titles on the last page. Former owner's signature on title pg. and a narrow fold to one page that appears to have occured during the binding. The book is nice and clean. Sold as a collection only.
