Novel by the author of Lost Horizon and Good-Bye Mr. Chips. The nice bold Art Deco dustjacket in blue and black has several tears to the spine and back panel which have been mended using scotch tape most likely of the period and now has yellowed. Vg+/vg.

Nicely done annual on the architecture, interior design, furniture and pottery of the mainly modern period along with examples of the more "traditional" look. The book includes a 2 1/2 pg. "letter" from Le Corbusier who is also well represented within. Nicely illustrated throughout with b&w photos and 6 color photos on plates. There is minor cracking to the gutter between pgs. 66 & 67. Lacking the rare dustjacket the purple cloth covers with gilt lettering has some sun fading to the spine and part of the back cover, there is a touch of of wear to the top of the spine and there is very faint and minor light foxing to the half title pg. Tiny ink owner stamp on the front pastedown. Gilt top edge. Vg+
