Evah Dahkey Is A King Sheet Music , Williams, Bert & Walker, George
242 Williams, Bert & Walker, George Evah Dahkey Is A King Sheet Music
New York Harry Von Tilzer 1902 Original Sheet Music Oversize Paper
A rare original 11 " x 14" sheet music featuring the legendary African American musical comedy team of Williams & Walker. The sheet music was published as a music supplement of The New York American And Journal for Sunday October 26, 1902 and the song "Evah Dahkey Is a A King" was featured in the musical revue "In Dahomey" which was written by Paul Lawrence Dunbar & Will Marion Cooks. The revue had a short run on Broadway in 1903. The team first met up in 1893 and was billed as "The Two Real Coons." The sheet music is illustrated with a portrait of Bert Williams along with some artwork. Printed in black and orange. The sheet has a few old tape mends inside, but considering the age and fragility of the paper it is in really nice fine condition. Very rare.
