2 Robinson, Edward G. Three Edward G. Robinson Stills
Hollywood Warner Bros. 1935 Original Stills Paper
Three 8" x 10" scene stills featuring the great Edward G. Robinson. 1) Original scene still from John Ford's "The Whole Town's Talking" which is one of the few comedies Ford directed. Robinson plays a meek office clerk who is mistaken for a dangerous criminal who is a dead ringer for him. Jean Arthur co-starred. The still pictures Robinson with great character actor Etienne Girardot. Light wear old tape mends to the verso, and some old tack holes to the corners. 2) Early re-issue (1947) moody group portrait of Robinson, Ida Lupino and John Garfield in the very good "The Sea Wolf" 3) Original scene still of Robinson and two of his hench men from "Key Largo." In a film career that spanned 57 years Robinson gave many memorable performances and incredibly was never even nominated for an Oscar, but he did receive a special one in 1973, a bit too late as he had died shortly before the award was to be presented to him.
