New York Delacorte Press 1966 First Edition Oversize cloth with Dustjacket
Marvelous large collection of celebrity photographs by McDowall with commentaries by other famous people. An intriguing idea. McDowall followed this up with "Double Exposure Take Two" published in 1989 by William Morrow and is also a very large coffee table book with 100's of more photos by McDowall along with comentaries by other famous people. LAID IN IS AN ORIGINAL TYPED AND SIGNED LETTER ON HIS PERSONAL STATIONARY FROM RODDY McDOWLL. THE LETTER IS A SHORT NOTE TO SOMEONE NAMED STEPHEN IN WHICH McDOWALL OFFERS APOLOGIES FOR NOT GETTING BACK TO HIM. McDowall made his mark in 1940's films when he was a child actor and is best remembered for his lovely performance in John Ford's "How Green Was My Valley." Later on he took up photography and these two books being offered are the results of his talent. The first book has minor wear to the dustjacket, otherwise its a fine copy, the second book is fine in a fine dustjacket and are being offered as a collection only.
