The act was the ill-fated musical that was directed by Martin Scorsese of all people who did not have a very good time of it. "I was doing a stage play-the only one I'll ever do, I think-called The Act, with Liza Minnelli, and I was having a very very bad time." The show had music & lyrics by Kander & Ebb but only ran for a meager 233 performances but still managed to get 6 Tony nominations including a win for Ms. Minnelli. Liza has signed it "Love Liza" with a little smiley face. Split to the bottom edge of the program's cover and a tiny tear to the bottom edge otherwise fine. A nice small unusual group of Liza Minnelli items. Sold as a collection only.
