TEXT IN DUTCH. A bound volume of 12 issues of Bij En Korf for 1934. The magazines were published by the famous chain of Dutch department stores to promote their stores and are filled with cozy tibits on shopping, travel, fashion, products along with crossword puzzles, and notes about the stores managers and salespeople. Each issue is illustrated with small charming in text drawings, illustrations and photographs along with wonderful Art Deco like covers. Each issue is approx. 50pgs and all the issues and the cloth binding are in fine condition. A marvelous look at European commerce right before the storm.

Inside is a 2pg. spread that is out of this world for Pathe News that is illus. with beautiful artwork of earth and the universe. On the back pg. is a full color ad for Paul Terry's cartoon Aesop's Film Fable with artwork. There is a small scrape to the text of the ad, the artwork is untouched. Folds starting to separate. Vg.

New York The Republic Theatre 1930 Original Program Small Program 
Nice 24pg. small program from The Republic Theatre in New York City. The play featured was "Subway Express" which had a huge cast including Hollywood reliables Barton MacLane and Helen Mack who left the production shortly after the opening The play was set in the New York City subway.and it began life at the Liberty Theatre and then moved to The Republic where it closed in May of 1930 after 271 performances. The program has a nice color drawing of an eagle with bands of Deco like bands of color inside there are more Deco ads including one illustrated by John Held Jr. and a nice full color ad for Lucky Strike Cigarettes. A tiny touch of foxing to the top of the pages, and light rust from the staples. Vg.

Covers are loose and the front has a small piece missing from the white margin along with light chipping, the insides are fine.
