ORIGINAL 8' X 10" GLOSSY PUBLICITY PORTRAIT OF JOHN HUSTON AND ARTHUR MILLER ON THE SET OF THE MISFITS THAT HAS BEEN SIGNED IN BLUE INK BY HUSTON AND BLACK INK BY MILLER. Light wear including some light creasing to the corner of the photo and 3 small binder dings on the left edge. Uncommon to find a photo signed by the two collaborators of one of the great films of the 60's.

IN ADDITION THIS COPY IS SIGNED AND DATED 1964 ON THE FRONT ENDSHEET BY JO MIELZINER THE GREAT BROADWAY SCENIC DESIGNER WHO DID THE SETS FOR AFTER THE FALL AND WHOSE REMARKABLE CAREER SPANNED FROM 1927 TO 1989. MR. MIELZINER RECEIVED 7 TONY AWARDS AND 14 TONY NOMINATIONS FOR HIS WORK AND ALSO RECEIVED A 1955 OSCAR FOR HIS ART DIRECTION ON "PICNIC" WHICH WAS HIS ONLY FILM HE WORKED ON. COMPLIMENTARY PUBLISHER CARD LAID IN. Miller's very controversial play that in spite of what he said was most definately based on his very troubled marriage to Marilyn Monroe. The play was never very warmly received by the critics and the most recent revivial done about a year or so ago was also poorly received. The impressive original cast included Jason Robards, Barbara Loden, Hal Holbrook, David Wayne, Ralph Meeker, Salome Jens, Zohra Lampert and a young unknown actress by the name of Faye Dunaway who played a nurse. Except for a minor small mark on the back panel of the dustjacket this is a fine copy in a fine dustjacket.

Attractive and scarce 3 long playing records of Death Of A Salesman that was recorded in 1966 with Lee J. Cobb & Mildred Dunnock recreating their original historic performances. Also in the cast was a young and unknown Dustin Hoffman who played the role of Bernard and who would someday play the role of Willy Loman. Also included is large 38pg. booklet that includes the complete text of the play and an intro. to the play by the playwright. Illustrated with photos. Housed in a stiff cardboard. The records have never been played and the box is fine.

The play was first performed in New York City in 1980 and this published version was used as the basis of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre's production in 1983. The photo on the front cover of William Atherton and Joan Copeland (Arthur Miller's sister) in a scene from the new york production and the photo of Arthur Miller on the back cover are by Inge Morath the late noted photographer who was married to Arthur Miller. Fine/fine.

A lovely editon of the classic play published on the occasion of the plays 50th anniversary and the well received 1999 Broadway revival. Illustrated with 4pgs. of b&w photos from the original production that starred Lee J. Cobb along with 4pgs. in color of photos from this most recent revival. Laid in is a small folded handbill, along with a lovely 8 1/2" x 11" photo of the cast in performance from the 1985 television production that was directed by Volker Schlondorff that starred Dustin Hoffman, John Malkovich & Kate Reid all of whom are pictured along with several other actors. The photo although not signed or stamped is by Arthur Miller's late wife, the fine photographer Inge Morath. The book and the photograph are fine.
