Novel about a Bavarian mother's four sons-the one who goest to America and the three who remain Europe and are killed in the First World War was made into a tear jerker and big box office success in 1928 by John Ford. Illustrated with 1 fontispiece still and 6 interior stills. There is soiling and chipping to the cloth along with an old tape mend. The insides are vg. with some average light wear for a 77 year old cheaply produced book. The dustjacket is nice and colorful with some light chipping to the edges with a small 2" piece missing from the bottom of the spine panel but the title and author's name is intact. vg/vg.
