INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY EDWARD ALBEE IN 1965. Albee's complex and challenging play that met with mostly hostile reaction and only 167 performances when it was first produced in 1964. Still it won Irene Worth a best actress Tony award and was nominated for several others including best play. Price clipped and a few very tiny nicks to the top edge of the very nice bright and clean dustjacket. Fine/near fine. Laid in is a playbill for the recent revival of "The American Dream" and "The Sandbox" which were directed by Mr. Albee. Also included is a first paperback printing of The Sandbox and The Death Of Bessie Smith. This was published by Signet in 1963. Browning with age, but an unread copy and in near fine condition.
